CD-AF-BD-TWW-HPT-BFP-BFN-WTH

We’ve been married for 5 years and been on intense TTC (Trying To Conceive) Journey for almost a year now *it’s gonna feel kinda weird to read my own story*

So, we just happened to make it on the very first trial on July 2015 (lucky us!): got 2 BFP (Big Fat Positive) on HPT (Home Pregnancy Test) *whoa, TTC jargons I master within a year*. We visited Dr. Renie W., SpOG at Siloam Hospital Surabaya. We have known her before, while I was having pap smear test and other obgyn consultation regarding menstrual cycle etc. She was very friendly, nice to talk to (she was handling my cousin with the birth of her first daughter). Most importantly: no long Q; average waiting hour was approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour max.

Unfortunately, we have to deal with miscarriage on week 5 of my pregnancy due to severe bleeding *it was unbelievable, yet after almost a year it starts becoming bearable*. I went on D&C procedure the very same day & stayed on hospital for a night. (The D&C itself was pretty quick, it took probably just 10 to 15 mins under total sedation. I just woke up and felt nothing *physically, but not emotionally*) Some mild to medium cramps lingered until a week later, but overall it just felt like menstruation cramp.

It was truly a devastating experience. But guess what, it was just the very beginning of our TTC journey *which, believe me, did not get any easier by day* So, before we continue why don’t we gear up ourselves with these infamous jargons to all TTC bitches 🙂

  • CD: Cycle Day (CD 1 is the very first day of your period)
  • AF: Aunt Flow (menstruation)
  • BD: Baby Dance (Err.. obviously how you make babies!)
  • TWW: Two Week Wait (the waiting time before taking HPT)
  • HPT: Home Pregnancy Test
  • BFP: Big Fat Positive (Yay! You’re pregnant)
  • BFN: Big Fat Negative (*cry*)
  • C&D: Curettage & Dilation
  • WTH: What The … *just kidding*

To be continued.
